Today, my friend Hamlet made a fool of himself. He really is losing his wit. What happened to the civilized, collected man that I use to know? And for Ophelia, I feel bad for her. I would never tell her this for fear that Hamlet would hear (and you know how fragile he is these days), but she loves Hamlet and he is going mad. During a play today, Hamlet seemed to be giving all of us a message. The player king was killed by poison in his ear, and Hamlet was staring at King Claudius very intently as if it meant something. I am his best friend, and even though he is crazy, I can usually read him. He was trying to send a message to someone through this play. Hmm... I wonder what could seriously be going on. Maybe it has something to do with what King Hamlet's ghost told him!
Hamlet really needs a good friend like you during difficult times like this. Continue to support him and he will come around.
